A travelling adventure
Just this month, my father took on the most exciting journey in his life — much to my envy. He went to Spitsbergen, an island in the archipelago of Svalbard in Norway. He obsessed over the proper gear for months, weighing decisions between different fleeces, jackets, and boots; and he was riddled with anxiety before he left. As soon as he was there, though, the breathtaking views and wonders of this place made it easy to leave the nervousness behind.
He encountered walrusses, reindeers, and polar bears (from afar), kayaked close to some of the most northern landmasses of our blue planet, and even lent a helping hand to two science expeditions. Given that my father is, as you might have guessed, a little older than me, I can't help but feel proud of the fact that he found the courage to embark on this journey.
Cozy Mountain Village tries to capture this story — and the pride I feel when I retell it — in all its aspects of wonder, adventure, and discovery. The sober shades of powder blue, blue, and red make for a lovely gradient that would love to settle on your travel blog, photography website or any homepage with a muted tone.
